Description
The Wacker Neuson RD7 is a premium, hand-guided (walk-behind) dual-drum vibratory roller in the 700 kg class. It is explicitly engineered for high-performance compaction of both soil and asphalt layouts. Highly favored by rental clients for sidewalk installations, shoulder patch repairs, trench bedding, and tight residential paving, this ultra-compact unit delivers big-roller compaction metrics in a highly transportable, maneuverable design.
Built with a completely hydrostatic drive system, the RD7 eliminates mechanical drive chains and belts, maximizing jobsite uptime and minimizing maintenance fees. To maximize productivity on varied surfaces, it features an advanced dual-vibration system with two easily adjustable frequency/force stages—high-frequency mode delivers a pristine, smooth finish on hot-mix asphalt, while low-frequency mode packs the high impact energy needed to settle dense granular soils.
Its patent-pending, shock-mounted guide handle features industry-leading vibration isolation, keeping hand-arm vibrations (HAV) below 2.5m2 for safe, non-fatiguing all-day operation. With a low lateral overhang of only 30 mm and a narrowed upper frame, operators can roll seamlessly right against walls, foundation edges, and curbs.
